The regions of Lerida offer an important pictorial rock set declared Patrimony of the Humanity in 1998.

  1. Among the 16 deposits of the region of Lleida, the "Roca de los Moros del Cogul" (Les Garrigues)is one of the more important of Catalunya. Discovered in 1908, the pictorial set of naturalistic style, dated of the Palaeolithic, consists of 42 human figures and animals, in scenes of hunting, and of more than 250 engravings.
  2. We must also mention the Cave of the Vilasos or the Vilars, located in the narrow pass of the same name, near the towns of Os de Balaguer. The deposit, of the Bronze Age, consists of 29 schematic figures.
  3. Other interesting rock sets are those of the Valley of the Comma and Rocks Guards, in the Garrigues; the Aparets Y II, and IV, Antona Y, II and III, the Cave of the Tabaco and the Cave of the Cogulló, in the Noguera region, and the Roc Rumbau or Roca of the Moors, in Alt Urgell.
