Traditional activities
Depending on the season, the guests of Cal Alejandro can live and share different celebrations and traditional activities.
IN SUMMER
For those who like popular celebrations, Montsonís organises the city Celebrations on the third Saturday of August. The village will be full of leisure activities of all types and will breathe a festive atmosphere.
IN AUTUMN
At the beginnings of the autumn, those who love theatre can go to Tàrrega and enjoy the more important international fair of the scenic arts of southern Europe: The Fair from Theater in the Streets, which is celebrated every year, during the second weekend of the month of September.
IN WINTER
In winters, the region offers the possibility to see the nativity plays, traditionally mounted for Christmas in practically all the villages of the area. People can also visit the Fair of the Partridge in Vilanova de Meià in November.
EASTER MONDAY
On Easter Monday, takes place the "Aplec de Salgar" celebration in Montsonís. This is an opportunity to visit the Hermitage of Salgar; a roman church that is intimately linked with the medieval history of Montsonís. In the Castle of Montsonís, long ago a secret passage connected the wine cellar of the Castle with the hermitage of Salgar. This passage is now closed but the visitor can walk along small tracks surrounded by fields and wild nature to get to the church and admire its roman architecture.
